Affiliate Earnings July 2025

How much did I earn in July 2025?

Payout this month wasn’t too bad. Another high purchase using my eBay links, so I got a good payout again.

No real changes with the Virgin media paymnents I haven’t received the missing ones from the Virgin Internet post article however I did receive a notification that one of them was rejected because the service was cancelled. I can only assume that it’s someone not playing with it or trying to pull a fast one. Or generally didn’t like the service. That just means one more paymnet to chase up.

Get in touch with me if it was you, and I might be able to resolve it for you. On a funny note though. Strangely when I contacted Virgin when this wasn’t resolved at first. They said it can only be used for “Friends or Family” it’s not meant to be shared out. That contradicts the point of referral and affiliate links, they’re meant to be used by anyone.

This is where Youfibre internet rules, even they’re happy for me to share it with anyone (this is my referral link for Youfibre). I’ve been happy so far, I wrote about Youfibre broadband in my blog post. Whilst I still consider it essentially testing with them, I haven’t had any issues so far so happy to refer them to date. Only thing I don’t like is their marketing, it’s so damn aggressive that even when you’re with them you still get pestered. It’s a win win though. They get clients, I get money

If you do follow my referral links, I recommend messaging me on my website so I can follow up if any problems. I haven’t posted it here to prevent spam bots. My domain name however is andrewhope.co.uk. So as long as you create an email and it ends @andrewhope.co.uk I will receive it. If you’re a pleb though, I’ll ignore you. I get spammed a lot from SEO bots so generally read it once a week.

Monthly admin thoughts

I haven’t done much this month, I’ve been preparing the car for an MOT as it’s due in a couple of days. I’m basically relaxing from work on vacation at the moment to use up some holidays, so enjoying the chill out time.

I fitted the panel to the car, colour is rubbish as previously noted. This wasn’t because of the mixture on the paint. It’s just because of the primer I think and finish time. I’ve kept the old panel for practice as noted.

I am going to have to do some work with the car however. Whilst I was fitting the under tray, I discovered a big potential problem. The car has oil passing out the turbo. I don’t believe it’s damaged as they always leak, however whilst fitting the under tray, it looks like the intercooler and/or radiator have took a hell of a hit at one point (whether during my ownership, or before I even bought the car). This is something I’ve never noticed, and to be fair, I can’t even think how the hell it’s happened. Unless it’s been during a time when there was snow and I hit a pile of ice or something.

Basically I need to remove the front bumper, and inspect the damage. I think both of the problems (coolant leak / passing oil), or actually linked to the damage I found. I’m working on the theory, that the radiator (or intercooler) is bent, and damaged. So one is leaking coolant slightly, and the other is damaged / obstructed. This means that the turbo over runs and creates a pressure problem. Resulting in the turbo over spinning and passing oil.

Needless to say I’m going to concentrate on this first because I don’t want to replace the turbo again. Although at least this time I know how it’s done, and if necessary I can just buy a new turbo core for £100 if I needed it. I don’t plan on doing this, but this is the next job I’m prioritising on the car as it could be an expensive one.

I need to see how the car does for MOT too though, so not looking forward to this month. The one good thing is the garage who do my MOT I recommend, but the also know I do the work to my car. So anything they suggest I’d be fixing anyway, and it would be added to my own list of stuff to do.
