Affiliate Earnings May 2025

How much did I earn in May 2025?

Pretty average, it’s a bit boring posting the iffy earnings I get. However I like the consistancy of posting so need to get into doing it often.

I haven’t received any further payments from Aklamio about the two missing Virgin media payments on my internet. I think I won’t get these for my Virgin Internet post article unless realistically I can get in touch with the other two people who purchased for the pending payments

Side note on Virgin payout: The most recent payout I received was my most recent order, the two oldest ones haven’t been paid out yet. My recommendation if you purchase with link is to send me an email at my website (admin@myname.co.uk) so I can follow it up if there’s been no payout. As I need to provide some details to Virgin in order to have them follow it up.

The two payouts still to pay (28/12 – Nat W) and (15/01 –  M Smith). If you’re either of these people get in touch so I can help sort it out (as I’m assuming you haven’t been paid either) as I’ll need to relay the information onto you that is required to prove the order.

Monthly admin thoughts

Car work is going to be needed. There’s been a few faults coming over time, and I haven’t worked on my car in what seems like forever.

The main problem I need to look at is the front wing, there’s rust at the bottom near the sill where the water collects by the arch. I’ve been watching it get worse rather than fixing it, prodded it with fingers and finger went through. Turns out it was worse than I thought

I’ve ordered a new wing and some spray paint to replace it .

I’ll use the arch with my welder, so that I can practice welding car metal. I’ve never welded before, but I want some practice if I ever come across the inevitable sill issues. It’s a job I don’t really want to tackle, although I’m confident I could do it. It’s just I know it’s a ball ache and would save me money in the long run with the knowledge.

Also on the list of jobs to do with the car. Fix the glovebox, it snapped a while ago, although this was because I closed it on something so managed to break both hinges. So the plastic welder will be coming out again. I’m also receiving a warning sometimes about the brake pads. So suspect that the wires internally are rotting, or they’re coming loose. I know the brake pads themselves are fine, because I fitted new ones when I did my wheel bearing. The wire has always been iffy though, it’s why I never repaired it when I bought the connector. The wire was corroded further back than expected and may have potentially needed a new loom

I’ve been thinking of approaching this idea again with a seam ripper and just making my own cable after crimping some connectors onto it.

Other than that my 1u pfSense server build is still ongoing. It’s probably about 90% complete currently. The good news is that everything I’ve purchased, I can fit inside the case. However I’m going to have to 3D print a bracket, as I’ll be mounting the network card upside down.

Then the challenge of wiring connectors, but I’ll get there. Just looking forward to finishing and testing it.
