How much did I earn in July 2026?
Another good month so far, my Amazon affiliate network is beginning to pick up, and I’m having a wealth of content that I can write. Whilst I do enjoy these financial updates for my site. I don’t want the primary content on this Blog to be about financies.

No change to how I feel on my ISP or my Website provider, still top notch which you can access via affiliate links for HostXNow (Hosting), or Youfibre (and entering my code T969EU)
I’m pretty much sticking with Youfibre for the moment. I can’t really complain, service has been good. I don’t like the lack of control in their routers compared to typical ISP. However this is the only minor bug I have which can be resolved using my own gear. You can sign up to Youfibre and using my code will enable you get to somey money back : My code is – T969EU
Website traffic was average 28.7k unique users and 44k page views. I’ve been worried I was hit by another Google search core update as my website traffic started fluctuating around 16-17th of July, then completely tanked (by my standards) from 23rd of July onwards. I went from a consistent 1100+ page views per day, to anywhere between 300-600 per day. I looked into the core updates and it seems to favouring SEO content for AI within the search now which my site has limited amounts of. After further research however, I don’t believe this was the cause of the problem. I’ve recently signed up for Ahrefs (as in the day of this post). Whilst I love SEO tools like Semrush, their program is way too pricey for me as a basic user (£200+ per month) that I can justify paying it until the site starts covering itself more. The same goes for Ahrefs what I’m using now, their basic package is around £100 per month. However, what changed my mind is further down they have a “Starter” SEO program for around £25 per month which covers all the basic SEO for your website. Perfect so I signed up with this
When I looked into their tools on Ahrefs, I discovered there was a lot of spammy sites giving me backlinks, suspecting a farm network as they weren’t relevant to my site, I just added their entire domain to the Google disavow list that I have and submitted it. Hopefully this will help my scores.

HEALTH, WEALTH and ALL ELSE
- Health no changes
- Wealth, noted previously in my post about adding additional sources of finance to my portfolio. This time I set myself up with an ISA savings account, and a general purpose SIPP account for long term investing. These are long term funds to tie up with something else. One of them being a general job “safety net” when it’s fully maxed out to what I want to hold, it will be about 3.5 years worth of expenses. The other is my SIPP, this is my big one that I want to put at least £100,000 in there so it grows ove rtime.
- All Else, still pottering on with the car for the MOT. It’s booked in for August 10th, whilst I’m not a qualified MOT inspector, I’ve still went over the parts on there car a bit at a time that I’m not happy with. The 3 main points last year for the MOT were the exhaust mount, number plates and the NSR handbrake. I’ve replaced all these so, I’ll wait to see what happens next. I also decided to clean the headlights again on the car with some K2 Headlamp polish, after I had finished sanding them down with this awesome wet/dry sandpaper restoration kit that I paired up with a hand pump pressure bottle for constantly spraying water on the lights. Once the MOT is out of the way for another year, I’ll be able to crack on with things on the car I’ve been wanting to make or work on. I fixed my air compressor completely so now I can use air tools again, and also a spray gun for respraying car parts and panels.
