Recently had a quick problem with my Google Account. Not sure if they had done another security update. Thought I’d mention what it was anyhoo incase others have the same problem and can’t work out what is causing it
Here’s the problem, when opening a browser, my Google account was no longer syncing my account and was showing as “paused”, and it wanted me to sign in again.
OK, the problem is my password is ultrasecure, and I can’t even remember it, I rely on the password manager for Gogole to retain it. OK, reset the password with the failover account, same problem when logging into my failover account. I ended up using an alternative method to reset the password for one account, just so I can could reset the password to logon to another account.
Now, as soon as I closed the browser and reopened it again, BOOM, all of my account sync failing and it was no longer working again.
Long story short, the account showing as paused in Google for sync, was because I had to use the verification methods that it was legitimately me signing into the account. Basically sign into the account again and go through the options to verify it’s you actually signing in
Once you do this the account security will work again properly and the account will no longer show as paused for Sync
