How much did I earn in February 2026?
Onto the 3rd month of March already, due for another tax year / pay increase. So that means, more investment and more taxes from the Government. Yey! It’s hard to feel optimistic when you have a government like in the UK. It’s easy to say why rich people leave. Our politicans squander everything. They’ve also had another pay rise this year to £100k+. Nice for some!
The website earned a smidgen over £5 this month (£5.01 to be exact). I’m not personally bothered about the earnings on the site, since it’s a goal towards a larger picture. My site used to generate £0.01 every 2 to 3 months about 10 years ago. So it grows, eventually. I’m still nowhere near what this site has the potential to gain (I estimated realistically about £100 per month) but it’s a target to go to
My website hosting has been provided by my current host (HostXNow) for the last few years, and hosting has been really stable. I currently have a 3 year hosting lease. So I’ll be paying for another 3 years worth of hosting when it expires in 2027.
Highly recommended having your hosting services from HostXNow
No further changes on the retirement plan. Still contributing towards goals. I’ve also opened up an NSI Direct Saver account. These accounts only pay you interest once per year, but allow you to dump up to £1 or £2m into them, so trying to save up a few more pennies. I’m currently saving around 30% of my annual wage, and putting it into investments. I’m most likely going to change careers, or reskill as the money I currently receive can be beaten by a new career path. Starting wages on a job I considered, was about £8,000 more than what I’m on now. No brainer really. All this month just goes towards my retirement plan.
No further sales with my Youfibre broadband referral link lately, but I still continue to use the internet from them. I’m most likely going to stick with them when I renew. I can’t really complain the service has been cheap and reliable. Plus the option is there for me to upgrade to a faster plan and static IP when I want. It’s useful because it ties in with my pfSense router project. I’ve also recently submitted an £80 order for network cables online. I’m wanting to upgrade my Home IT setup around the house this year as I experiment with different things. I do have some Cat6A genuine cable (high quality from Cablemonkey) which is 10GBase-T rated, however I don’t have the equipment to certify it as 10GB. So I purchased a cable online for around £35 which 20 metres long and rated for 10GB networking. This will serve as the WAN uplink to my pFsense router, and then the 4-port NIC on the router will run to a patch panel, which will then feed into my 1GB switches. I’d like to upgrade these in different stages, but everything for me is baby steps. As I have a lot of things on the go currently (IT Projects, Electronics, Car Repairs, Investment Plans). I really need a better way to manage my time but slowly but surely.
Sales on eBay ambassador storefront. Only 1 sale this month, I’m really unsure how traffic redirection works with the new site. Everything just seems to be “point it here” and let people do the conversions for you. I’m not sure if it’s converting any differently to using the links, but it at least makes it a bit more simplistic. I’m still experimenting on this one in order to get it working
Traffic this month was 19.6k unique users and 36.2k page views. Volume still on target for around the 2 million mark. Looking forward to writing new projects. I have a couple of new additions I’m wanting to add to the site. The next thing I’ll be writing about will be a custom built jumper pack for my car. I’ve already got some items for it, but I’m holding off for now. The other thing I want to build is some remote dead-drop packs and dump them around the North East in some famous areas or landmarks. Whilst dead drops are usually associated with hackers, the idea of the offgrid networks appeal to me. It’s good having an off grid network like Meshtastic setup and sharing files offline. Someone could dump in their CV, some random pictures, their new music album. Anything is possible, it’s like a lottery.
I don’t plan on publicising where these are, I’m simply going to leave them for people to find them and share some files.
As part of my 25 year plan, I’ve been writing ideas for my diaries (already up to 100) to give me ideas for things to write and do for articles

Monthly admin thoughts
I decided to keep my car on a standard car insurance policy when I renewed it. The quotes I was receiving didn’t make it worth it, and the I only wanted to do basic modifications to the car anyway, so it was a choice of pay a fortune for ideas I had or keep it standard and not bother. I chose the latter. It saved me almost £600 based on excess and price difference which I can spend elsewhere
HEALTH, WEALTH and ALL ELSE
- Health My elbow is “almost” recovered. Keeping it strapped up a lot lately, but I’ve regained strength in it at least. It’s about 90% functional now. I’d raised the issue at work about manual pallet trucks with managers as I need an electric one now. I’ve done almost 400,000 repetitions and it takes it’s toll. Which is why I’m also considering changing careers to WFH jobs, it’s less strain and less stress. Speaking of stress, I got my hormone/blood results back. Whilst it’s not fully accurate, the results were pretty much the same as last time I tested it. My Prolactin levels are sky high, and DHEA Sulphate levels are low as hell. Guess what they affect, energy levels, metabolism, sleeping patterns, weight gain. A lot of people who have them sometimes have a tumour on either their Adrenal Glands or Pituarity glands. Haven’t looked into it much but something I’m keeping an eye on. I’m focussing on increasing my activity and eating healthier anyway. As my blood pressure was / is at unsafe levels. Which I link to stress too so health is a primary cause of concern for me. My weight still fluctuates like crazy, I can gain/lose 3kg in a single day when I check it. I’ve also been monitoring my bone/muscle/fat as they were yoyoing. Bone weight was decreasing but it’s started increasing from exercise. Just need to work out more and stress my joints more. I’d like to drop ideally 10kg or more this year. Baby steps
- Wealth, I decided to purchase the AAWP plugin for my website, got a lifetime 3-site license for it for around £450 which I couldn’t sniff it. Only thing as a warning on this, is that in order for it to work with Amazon’s API you need at least 10 sales per month within 180 days on Amazon. This however CAN be bypassed, as AAWP provide an API service you can pay for that they host. This makes it useful as basically you pay them until you get more sales using the tools. Then you switch to Amazon once you’ve got the sales. It’s a win-win really. Once I get to April I’ll be buying a couple of things on my site to look at selling online by using their tools. I want to experiment with AI tools aswell.
- All Else, car work. None so far. Other than regreasing the bonnet. The weather is getting better at least. I live in family home, so I’m also going to be doing some repairs in the house too. A leaky toilet caused a floor board issue, so I’m going to rip up the old chipboard and replace it with some OSB.
