How much did I earn in March 2025?
Traffic to the website is good, my figures are a bit skewed now because all my website content (ssl, non ssl, blog, main page) have been merged for my stats. So it’s a bit hard for me to trace where all my traffic is between articles. Although I’m more interested in just seeing the traffic growing and monetising the articles I know which are good ones to help my site grow
Just for transparency, this is currently what my site looks like for traffic since the start of this year (data pulled from awstats time of this post), are you can see I’m averaging around 100k hits per month, and around 200-400 unique visitors per day (if I’m reading my traffic right). Anyhoo, that’s just more if this data appeals to anyone for this content
Month | Unique visitors | Number of visits | Pages | Hits | Bandwidth |
Jan 2025 | 5,902 | 9,691 | 23,927 | 106,572 | 4.27 GB |
Feb 2025 | 6,495 | 10,419 | 25,662 | 105,452 | 4.25 GB |
Mar 2025 | 7,214 | 11,555 | 27,723 | 118,597 | 4.87 GB |
Apr 2025 | 405 | 506 | 1,010 | 4,352 | 189.53 MB |
Another lovely person decided to purchase broadband provided by Virgin media after reading my article and following the affiliate link in my Virgin Internet post article. So a big thank you. That’s now three people who have now have signed up, they’re pending £50 after 3 months, and I’m currently pending £150. Who else wants to try it out?
In terms of internet, I have recently posted I swapped to Youfibre internet in another article. Please do not take this as anything negative in terms of content with my website. I’ve mentioned why I’ve swapped, and can recommend Virgin for broadband, but I’m also wanting to try out Youfibre for a few reasons that I plan to document on this site too. There’s an affiliate link in the above article too. As Youfibre is cropping up a lot for high speed low cost broadband, and they’ve established themselves as quite a dominant force so they’re worth a try
In terms of negatives, the only thing I can post on Virgin so far since leaving (albeit their switch process is rubbish). Their renewal fees, mine WOULD have gone to £73 per month (from £45 I may add since I started). However they’re renowed for being trash when it comes to renewal, and they generally are only willing to knock down the prices when you threaten to leave. I just chose to leave earlier for the reasons in my Youfibre post I made.
Now, what else has gone on this month. Not much mainly. I continue to post about my website for anyone following along. I’ve made a good month in affiliate payments, and just leaving my balances to grow.
The next post I’ll be making on my website, when I finish is my new Pfsense router, I’m building a 1U powerhouse (hopefully), that I’ll be documenting in a post. The idea is for me to learn it, but also replacing crappy ISP equipment (the routers by Youfibre are poop imo), and I want to play about with technology. Whilst overspecced, the goal for the 1U server will be multicore, with a couple of 10 gig cards that I could use for WAN uplink, and LAN downlink to a new switch). There’s going to be a few challenges along the way, but I’m sure people will see the progress as I go

Monthly admin thoughts
Think there’s going to be a few repairs over the coming weeks, as I’ve been looking at the car and there’s a list of jobs to do and stuff to buy
Currently that I can think of on the car, which need working on or repair, or on the list of jobs bothering me
- Glovebox, needs repair as mentioned in last months affiliate article
- Coolant / Water leak. I mentioned this in previous months that I had a water loss. Turns out it isn’t a head issue, it’s a coolant leak somewhere in the pipes or radiator, so there’s probably a small crack. I noticed stains on the floor near where the intercooler hose is but thought it was oil. Only studying more and it’s deffo coolant as it’s orange water based. Still I know where to concentrate on now
Plus some random jobs that’s been bothering me to sort
- Seatbelt buckle, it keeps doing the fasten seatbelt alarm. The catch is worn down, need to fit the replacement
- New tyres, they’re down to about 4mm so going to have to pull out another £500-600 for some new Pilotsports or similar
- Car service (paid around £200 for some more gear to service car and some new plugs)
- Rust, it’s not bad but it’s worsening on the car, I’m going to have to bite the bullet and see if I can grind / repaint it
- Underbody shield, just want to repair this really as it came off previously and ripped the plastic, so going to repair it
