Website traffic 25.9k unique users and 38k page views. Website traffic hasn’t really suffered too much, it just goes through stages where it gets busy and not. I’m due off work on holiday soon so I have a few more articles for the site I want to repair on car.
I purchased some of the items last month for the CNC. Haven’t purchased much yet, as stuff sitting in the account. So I’ll probably get the linear rails or something that I can collect and start assembling things.

HEALTH, WEALTH and ALL ELSE
- Health no changes with shoulder. Just need to massage it, so just getting on with things really. The thing I’m mainly trying to concentrate on however is health. When I looked at blood tests / weight loss before I realised I really wasn’t eating to benefit myself. I really need to eat around 150g of protein per day minimum so my body burns fat rather than muscle. So currently looking for recommended eating plans / meals to try out that fit in with my lifestyle. I’d rather snack / eat small amounts multiple times per day than multiple huge meals. As I’m very busy at work so my energy levels feel drained a lot. Doesn’t help with carrying my body weight either! At the time of writing this post I’m currently sick as a dog, but think it’s more down to something I’ve ate.
- Wealth, no wins yet. Premium bonds have been really iffy for me in terms of winnings, but they’re just little surprises whenever I win anyway. So no complaints there. Financially this month I put money into income bonds (minimium £500). I changed my mind in terms of using a 5 year bond with NS&I. Initially I was going to choose a 5-year fixed bond, however I misunderstood it. Basically the money in these is HELD for 5 years, then you get the money back + interest. This doesn’t fit inline with what I’m wanting so I chose a standard income bond. I’ll now be paid 3.85% of the balance per month whilst I have the account open. On a £500 balance this works out at about £1.60 per month in interest. It doesn’t pay into the original account, it’s either your bank account or another NS&I acount. I opted to pay into my yearly income bonds account, just to add a little bit more money into it. The benefit of using NS&I accounts is that it’s helping to retain the value of my money due to the small interest and gives me a little bit of money back to compound away. I also opened up a CashISA with my Trading212 account. The maximum you can hold is £12,000 as soon the government are trying to force people into using Stocks and Shares. It earns me pennies every month, but just a bit extra money for saving. As I put away £750 per month into savings (£9000 per year). I’m aiming to diversify a lot and have little nest eggs everywhere.
- All Else, nothing much else, just care stuff I’ll be focussing on. I’ll be rebuilding one of the brake calipers I have in the shed for the Near Side (maybe offside too) rear, so that I can swap it out if required prior to the MOT. I just want something ready as a hot spare if needed. I do want to start homelabbing a bit more. Really want to have a permanent server in my bedroom running proxmox with several different nodes for experiments. A lot of people seem to use small IBM Thinkcentres, so I might try these out
