How much did I earn in January 2025?
Not much change wise this month, click rate on Amazon has gotten far better for the partner network, I attribute this more to the number of links I started using. I started targeting my top articles with Amazon links and my site builds traffic so it helps out a lot.
I also had another purchase of through my affiliate link in my Virgin Internet post article. As they had signed up they receive a £50 credit, and I receive a £50 commission if they stay for 3 months (so thank you whoever you are)!
Two people now have signed up, they’re pending £50 after 3 months, and I’m currently pending £100. Who else wants to have this internet service?
I’m happy with the service, no real plans to leave unless the renewal feel becomes extortionate, if it does I’ll either try something like Youfibre, or simply say sod and get a slower connection. I think after my 18-month discount ends with Virgin, my internet renewal will probably go up to about £70, whereas if I sign up again (which will most likely happen), it will probably be around £50, which wil increase to £55 with the usual April CPI index (since all ISP never truly lock their prices)

Monthly admin thoughts
Nothing really to report this month, just posting some consistency, going to have to carry out a service on my car soon and do some repairs, as they’re overdue and irritating me.
My engine has showed signs of slight coolant loss. I’m not overly concerned but keeping an eye on it. Whilst BKD engines do suffer from coolant issues with porous heads, the Audi engines are more reliable. I suspect the issue is more likely a leak, or something to do with the EGR cooler, or maybe a bunged up heater matrix as I do have issues with the reciculation flap, wondering if that has affected it. There could be many things like water pump. I’ve topped it up once with maybe 500ml of coolant in the last 2000 miles or so. I purchased some new antifreeze for the car and distilled water too, as the last time the car had a coolant change was when the timing belt was done. Just keeping an eye on it to make sure nothing happens, but it’s something to repair at some point.
